* * * FULL-TIME * * * OUTSIDE MAINTENACE $ 9.50 PER HOUR
OVERVIEW: JANUARY 2012 Perform duties to maintain natural environment and landscaped areas of company grounds and dog track. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Trim shrubs and trees; plant foliage and condition grounds · Operate grounds keeping equipment such as lawn mowers and trimmers · Pick up parking lot debris; make daily garbage pick up · Clean kennel buildings as needed; maintain sprint path and other areas as assigned SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: · Flexible to work within any area of Maintenance department · Perform all other duties as assigned by management PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: · Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, and Federal laws · Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance · Must not present a direct threat to health, safety or the welfare of fellow employees or others · Treat all guests, vendors and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness and consistency · Professional in appearance, grooming and behavior · Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted · Respond in a timely manner to all guests and employees · Mandatory Pari-Mutuel license to comply with the State of Florida, Department of Professional Regulations MACHINE / EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: Lawn mower, hedge trimmer, lawn chemicals, tractors, trucks, steamer, weed eater, shovels and rakes SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Goggles, masks, back support, gloves, boots and rain gear QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: · Physically fit WORKING CONDITIONS: · Exposure to outdoor elements · Walking, climbing, squatting, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching · Occasional lifting (minimum of 25lbs.) · Exposure to various chemicals · Flexible work schedule · Overtime work on “as needed” basis

OVERVIEW: Responsible for cleaning all areas assigned and maintaining compliance with the regulations of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA); works under the direction and policies of the employer. OVERVIEW: Walk Greyhounds out for official races. OVERVIEW: Customer Service Representative Establishes a point of contact for patrons, guests and co-workers to answer questions about entertainment options and promotions, as well as give directions to patrons, guests, and vendors on the layout of the facility. Customer Service Representative Responsible for documenting safety related accidents, workers compensation incidents and administering minor first aid when required. Assist Security Officers by providing relief of positions for authorized breaks and lunch. Also may be required to provide kennel compound security as needed. Conducts physical security inspections to ensure the safety for employees, customers, vendors and greyhounds. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: § Present a neat professional appearance and attitude to make patrons, employees, vendors, and guests feel comfortable and safe while on Derby Lane property. § Preserves order and enforces security orders for each post assigned § Maintain visual and mental alertness at all times, scanning their assigned post for customers requiring assistance, unusual or unsafe activities. § Ability to understand and carry out verbal and / or written post assignments without assistance or direct supervision. § Ability to stand in one location for extended periods of time up to four (4) hours without a break. § Maintain a state drivers license with 4 or less traffic points incurred. § Provide security throughout the facility through static post security and closed circuit TV monitors § Conduct security rounds inside, outside and kennel compound; § Provide security at all entrances leading to track property § Basic first aid and if necessary, provide life saving measures using AED to patrons and/or employees § Complete detailed reports of all incidents or injuries occurring on Derby Lane property. § Provide information to visiting guests as needed. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: § Maintain communication with security dispatch via radio § Conduct emergency notification as needed § Remove any safety hazards discovered on Derby Lane property § Other duties as assigned by Chief of Security.
